About us

The Gareth Ivory Foundation is a not for profit incorporated association set up in the name of Gareth Ivory, who at 22, lost his life to Leukemia in October 2004. Gareth was extremely committed to social justice, social equity and affecting positive change in the world and so with his passing, family and friends established this Foundation to continue his commitment to these ideals.

The Foundation primarily aims to source and generate revenue which can support local initiatives in the Australian Asia Pacific region, particularly focusing on the areas of health, education and environmental sustainability.

The Gareth Ivory Foundation is managed by a voluntary Committee which is elected by the GIF Membership and is responsible for the overall operations and direction of the Foundation. Committee members represent a range of professional expertise across the areas of community development, capacity building, finance, organisational management and education.
